The Waycross Convention & Visitors Bureau is conveniently located in central Waycross. Here you will receive personal service and help with most anything to do with your stay in Waycross. We’ll point out things you don’t want to miss, offer tips, advice, and inspiration and we are happy to show you how to get to places.

OUR CONVENTION CENTER FACILITIES

Include the historical C.C. McCray City Auditorium building offers a multi-purpose facility to host a wide range of events. The experienced City of Waycross staff will work hard to ensure events are a success. This space is ideal for business and social events, parties, wedding receptions, reunions, conventions, and other special gatherings.

Christmas parade

Our Annual Christmas parade held in historic downtown Waycross featuring colorful floats, festive walkers, the Golden Gator Marching Band, and Santa Claus on the ‘Big Red’ fire truck is nearly upon us.
It’s free to enter so why not promote your business and enter a float, you may win.

CONVENTIONS

CITY AUDITORIUM

Our City Auditorium was originally built in 1937 with the assistance of the Waycross Chapter of the Lions Club and the funds of the WPA projects (Works Progress Administration). Located at the corner of Pendleton and Oak Streets

Private Events

With a maximum capacity of 640 standing guests the City Auditorium is ideal for social events, wedding receptions and family reunions.

Corporate Events

Conventions and special gatherings are a breeze for and business or corpoate event, with ample seating for 600 persons.
